Walton Hall Clubhouse,Pictures,Course Layout & Scorecard

Walton Hall Golf Club in Warrington is regarded as one of the finest municipal courses in the North West.Par 72 and a great course to play. A course I've played a lot in my earlier days golfing, this is a course that has great facilities and i highly recommend it to the starting out golfer. Its very reasonable priced, has good deals and is easy to get to from the M56 motorway. Enjoyed every round I've played here it has a couple of great Par 5s, it is a popular course which says a lot in itself its very well maintained and has great greens, its a course that gives you a bit of everything and you will want to return to again as its not a course that's easy to get the better of.

Tytherington Pictures & Scorecard

Tytherington Golf Club is set in gently rolling parkland, winding through mature woodland and follows the natural contours of the land with over 80 bunkers and eight water features providing a challenging but enjoyable test of skill for every calibre of golfer.Very nice course indeed it has been named as one of the best courses in the North West of England. Another course I will be revisiting the greens and fairways were brilliant, the water features are great and the general setting of the course is ideal. there are a couple of great tricky holes but generally I would say a great course to play for all standards and one you will want to go back and play again.
(if anybody could email me a picture of the clubhouse would be really appreciated Thanks)

Sutton Hall Clubhouse, Pictures & Scorecard

Sutton Hall Golf Club is a beautiful parkland 18 Hole, 6618 yard, 72 par golf course. The course offers superb views over the Weaver Valley which create an attractive backdrop to many of the holes.Only played here the once and the weather was awful, but never the less I enjoyed it and will be going back. The course itself has a great variation of holes of all distances and is very well maintained. The 1st hole is a great opening Par 5   dogleg left a good test to start with, here I found I could open up shoulders a bit and would suit every kind of golfer and has easy access from the M56 motorway.

Styal Clubhouse,Driving Range,Picture & Scorecard

Styal Golf Club is a 6,301yds, Par 71, Flat parkland course with testing bunkers and water hazards, this course also boasts the longest hole in Cheshire. I use to play here a lot on societies a brilliant course for any handicapper, its nice and flat and open and has very good greens. The clubhouse is great and it also has its own driving range, the course is well set out with testing holes of allsorts. If your just starting out playing golf or have not yet played on a full 18 hole course this place is ideal which doesn't mean its for beginners only far from it, this is a good test of golf to any golfer and is an easy stroll.

Stockport Clubhouse & Pictures

Stockport Golf Club measures 6326 yards from the tee on the first to the pin on the eighteen, it is relatively easy-walking, allowing you to concentrate fully on the challenges that lie in wait for you. The par of 71 is a good indication that this isn't the easiest course in the area. Ive only played here once so far but will definitely be going back if the opportunity arises, a great course and clubhouse the course is well set out with a variation of holes which will test all your shots, another course I would say is fairly easy on the legs as well there are is a great slight dogleg right Par 5 on here that was my favourite hole, but don't get me wrong the other holes were very enjoyable, I recommend you put this on your courses to play list you wont be disappointed.

Stamford Clubhouse & Picture

Stamford Golf Club is a 5,701yds Par 70. Don't let the short yardage trick you into thinking this is easy course, its very tight and quite a challenge. Played here a lot and always challenges me even over the years as I improved slightly, a course with plenty of twists and turns. I like the novelty of this course because you think because its short you can hit yourself out of trouble but that's not true if anything it will get you in more trouble, the Par 3's are also a good feature on here with the tricky 18th being one and making it a good finishing hole, although it looks straight forward when stood on the tee club selection is the thing that always gets me on this hole. Its fairly up and down so not one of the easiest courses on the legs but a course that when your driving out you will be thinking I'm coming back here I could of done better and will do every time you leave.

Shrigley Hall Clubhouse, Pictures, Course Layout & Scorecard

Shrigley Hall Golf Club  is a 18-hole, par-71 course was designed by celebrated architect Donald Steel, who’s worked on every Open Championship venue in the country. The course takes you through magnificent woodland and open parkland. Its toughest challenges are the 8th (par 3), with a meandering stream, ponds either side and a woodland backdrop, and the tricky 18th (par 5) with its sweeping dog-leg, bordering our superb fishing lake. The first time I played here the weather was awful which didn't help but it made me return to play it again, I wouldn't say its an easy course on the legs but is a good test of golf in a great setting. There are many memorable holes on here but the 18th as stated above is one of the best finishing holes I've played.

Sherdley Park Pictures & Scorecard

Sherdley Park Golf Club is a private club, founded in 1973, that plays its golf at Sherdley Park Municipal Golf Course in St Helens. The club exists to provide organised competitive golf throughout the year on one of the best courses in the North West. One of the first courses I ever played and from what I remember a cracker, lots of different holes and easy on the legs. A great course to learn on and a good test for those of us who have been at it a while.

Santana Clubhouse,Pictures,Course Layout & Scorecard

Santana Golf Club is an 18 Hole golf course par 72 of approx. 6203 metres (just under 7000 yards) in length, set in 138 acres of picturesque parkland. The result is a magnificent course with wide and well defined fairways on level terrain, hence easily walkable, where water features play an important albeit not excessive part in the overall designI like it here its a flat course and the greens where brilliant, another course with several good holes but the long 8th hole a 595m Par 5 was my favourite and I'm sure its the longest hole on the Costa del Golf. There are brilliant views from certain tees and a lot of orange trees, the Par 3's on here are awesome, a must to be played.

Santa Maria Clubhouse,Pictures,Course Layout & Scorecard

Santa Maria Golf Club is situated in a superb location on the Costa del Sol,Santa Maria is not only considered one of the most excellent golf and country clubs on the Costa del Sol, but one of the most enjoyable.Had the privilege of playing here several times and thoroughly enjoyed every time.Yet another course for all standards of player and another great course on the Costa. The Picture to the left is taken from the 1st green looking back to the tee and the clubhouse a fantastic opening hole. The Par 3's on here are brilliant and throughout the course has plenty of water with great amounts of large fish in.To sum up my opinion I would want to play here every time I visited Costa del Sol.

Santa Clara Clubhouse,Pictures,Course Layout & Scorecard

Santa Clara Golf Club is an 18 hole golf course, par 71 designed by Enrique Canales Busquets.Along its eighteen holes, a par 71 of 5.878 metres, you will enjoy a stimulating and unforgettable round that will make you want to come back again. When I tell you how I got to play here you wont believe me.In Spain on our usual trip one of the courses we were due to play was under extreme work and not playable, so we contacted our golf agent and he got us in here. We arrived to find they had put us in the middle of a open competition which was a shotgun start. As you can imagine we were delighted and the condition of the course was out of this world. It was pure luck I got to play here but boy am I glad I did, every hole is brilliant and a great test. As you can see from the picture above the clubhouse and facilities are superb, this course is a 100% must if your on the Costa Del Sol.

Forest Of Arden Clubhouse,Pictures & Scorecard

Forest Of Arden Golf Club was designed in 1970 by a man called Donald Steel and then redesigned again in 1992. There are two courses at the Arden Golf Club that I have played, The Arden and The Aylesford. The Aylesford in itself is a lovely designed course which has a bit of everything but is not in the same league as The Arden as you can imagine as it has hosted the British Masters and the English Open. The Arden to me is at this moment in time in my top 5 courses that I have played in all time. A wonderful course with every kind of shot you can think of, tremendous greens and fairways, great setting with wildlife roaming around. This course has unbelievably good holes but the one that got me the most was the 8th a Par 3 147yds off yellows stroke index 18, its all carry over water and when you stand on the tee you will say exactly the same as I did "I can't believe this is stroke index 18" a truly wonderful course that definitely should be played in your lifetime.

Sale Clubhouse,Pictures & Scorecard

Sale Golf Club is a magnificent course with wide and well defined fairways on level terrain, hence easily walkable, where water features play an important albeit not excessive part in the overall designProviding 'year round' play, the course is maintained to the highest standards using the latest equipment.Only played here a couple of times but a great course with plenty of bunkers, this course is another one I would say is easy on the legs, there are a couple of fairly short Par 4's on here that are great. Its a course for all types of player and easy to find a well enjoyed game will be played here and a return visit will be definitely on your mind.

Saddleworth Clubhouse,Pictures & Scorecard

Saddleworth Golf Club is set high up in the Pennines with some truly majestic panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The par of 71 is a good indicator of the challenges you will face, as the course measures only 5976 yards from the tee on the first to the pin on the eighteenth. To me my kind of course a great test, a bit hilly, not flat lies all round and great greens. Saddleworth is a very peaceful course to play on with some amazing holes non other than the 14th a Par 5 that is 496yds from whites this hole was picked out by the famous Peter Alliss as one of the best holes he's ever played hence the name of the hole being Alliss's Choice.

Romiley Clubhouse,Pictures & Scorecard

Romiley Golf Club was founded on 29th July 1897 and was originally known as Woodley and Romiley Golf Club. Course architect, Tom Renouf, used the natural contours of the land to plan and design what is now regarded as one of the best layouts in Cheshire with stunning views across the county and the foothills of the Peak District National Park. The golf course measures 6412 yards and has a par of 70 with every hole tree-lined making an idyllic yet challenging course.A course that is not far from where I live but not a course I'm a member of,this is another great course with plenty of variation and wonderful greens.I have played here several times and its a course that gives me a great challenge every time, there are some great long par 4's and a few holes with Mackenzie greens,if your in the area play it you will not be disappointed.

Rochdale Clubhouse,Pictures & Scorecard

Rochdale Golf Club was formed in 1888 the present 18 hole course was fashioned from land on Bagslate Moor just over 100 years ago and is now rated a top venue for County golf. The sumptuous new Clubhouse forms a splendid back-cloth for this superb tree-lined course with well-manicured greens providing a stiff test of golf at any level.I got an invite to play here with a member one late afternoon in the summer, this course is a great test and has tremendous greens as you can see from the picture the clubhouse is very impressive also.Another course I would class as easy on the legs with a few holes where the shoulders can be opened up and a few holes where a sensible tee shot helps a great deal,I can see why this club is popular and if invited will be playing here again for sure.

Rhuddlan Clubhouse,Pictures & Scorecard

Rhuddlan Golf Club is set in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd, Rhuddlan is a course which offers fine views and a sheltered climate screened by the Clwydian Range. A gently undulating parkland course of 6291 yards, SSS 70, par 72 (Yellow tees), providing an excellent test of golf and is a regularly chosen venue for County and National Championship Events. In 2011 we are hosting the Welsh Seniors' Open from June 21st to June 23rd.In 2015 Rhuddlan are hosting the Welsh Ping Mixed Foursomes Finals.A course that's ideal to ease you into a golfing weekend away, playing here for me has always been enjoyable it just warms you up nicely but is also a good challenge at the same time,it had excellent conditioned greens and fairways and great hospitality another club that also does a great breakfast,a definite course you will revisit once played.

Reddish Vale Clubhouse,Pictures & Course Layout

Reddish Vale Golf Club was designed in 1912 by Dr Alister MacKenzie, also designer of Augusta National, Reddish Vale’s reputation amongst golf enthusiasts is second to none with the principles of MacKenzie course design there for all to see.The River Tame features on seven of the holes as it meanders through the course, making it both challenging and interesting. Although the course could be described as undulating buggies are available and the views have to be seen to be believed. This course is a must play unbelievable greens and feature holes,I've been in the water a few times especially on the 16th a Par 4 that has water all down the right and trees to the left, there are great Par 5's on here and the 18th back up to the clubhouse speaks for itself. All in all a great test of your golf skills and thoroughly enjoyable.

Puckrup Hall Clubhouse,Pictures & Scorecard

Puckrup Hall Golf Club is host to a number of regional championships, this 18-hole, par-70 championship course is a pleasure to play. Puckrup Hall Golf Club is located in the Cotswold's, with excellent road links via the nearby A38, M5 and M50.I was working in the area when I played here as above nice and easy on the legs great facilities,a club to suit an golfer and in excellent condition.Great clubhouse and very helpful staff,I found the water a couple of times so wasn't my greatest round but enjoyable nevertheless.

Northenden Clubhouse,Pictures & Scorecard

Northenden Golf Club in July 2005 voted by a large majority to rebuild all 18 greens to the United States Golf Association (USGA) specification. The first Competition using the New Greens was in June 2006 with 140 very excited Players taking part. Many greens are larger than previously, giving more options for pin placement. New bunkers, particularly on the shorter par fours, means more care will be required with shot and club selection. Finally, and most importantly, the wonderful new drainage system beneath the greens and fairways means that we will be the only local club able to play on proper greens, in good condition, throughout the year. When I played here it was after the greens had been altered and yes they were fantastic well lets put it this way I believe Nick Faldo,Sandy Lyle & Greg Norman are just a few of the names who have played here in the Pro-am so that says it all but no truthfully from an amateurs point of view this course is fantastic and one I intend going back to play again asap.

North Wales Clubhouse,Picture & Scorecard

North Wales Golf Course is situated on the west coast of North Wales in the sunny seaside town of Llandudno with excellent views over the Conwy estuary to Anglesey and the Snowdonia Mountain range. It is a true links course of Championship standard, having previously hosted the Welsh Team Championships. We are sure you will find the course invigorating and challenging offering an enjoyable experience for all levels of player.A great links course with some fantastic Par 3's this is another course on Anglesey Ive played more than once and you know what they say if you keep going back to a course it must be worth it and it is,one of the best links courses I've played with good Par 5's,make sure you play it on your Anglesey holiday.

North Manchester Clubhouse,Pictures & Scorecard

North Manchester Golf Club is a visiting golfers’ delight, noted for its undulating nature, with accommodating greens and wide fairways offering golfers a good walk and a challenge at every turn. This 6443 yards par 71 for men and 5545 yards par 73 for ladies; drains well and so is open for play more often than not.Had one of my better rounds of golf here many years ago I have been back since but couldn't get the golf going as well, the thing I remember most about here was the testing drives and how true the greens were. Its not far off the M60 neither so easy access. If your a man who likes putting visit here the greens are brilliant.

New Mills Pictures & Scorecard

New Mills Golf Club is a members club located high in the foothills of the Pennines, near the borders of Derbyshire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester. Its position on the edge of the Peak District National Park makes it ideal for golfers visiting the area. The location is renowned for its natural beauty and affords panoramic views of the Cheshire Plain and beyond to the Welsh Mountains in the west. Kinder Scout, the highest point in the Peak District, provides a dramatic backdrop to the course in the east.Only played here once and really had a good time there are some great novel holes especially the 4th a Par 3 which is 82yds off yellows Yes!!! 82yds and is called "Jim Riddick" I presume he was a short awkward man the same as this hole.Great views and a great course for all handicappers.

Nefyn Pictures & Course Layout

Nefyn Golf Club the Old Course consists of Holes 1-10 (Old) followed by Holes 11-18 (Old) on the world famous 'Point'. It opens with a series of 4 holes running parallel with and, a times, very close to the rugged coastline, before moving inland with some testing par 4s and a challenging par 3. It then moves to The 'Point'- eight holes on a narrow peninsula with fairways and tees perched above secluded coves and tiny inlets on one side and sandy beaches on the other.
Nefyn Golf Club the New Course consists of Holes 1-10 (Old) followed by Holes 11-18 (New). These eight holes follow the natural contours of the headland and coastal inlet, confronting the golfer with some testing par 4s, particularly the 15th, a long, sweeping right to left dog-leg with strategically placed bunkers. All the holes enjoy the spectacular backdrop of the Snowdonia range. On the way home, the 18th hole offers golfers a stunning panoramic view of the entire golf course. When I played here I played the new course which was stunning with amazing views, fantastic greens and fairways. On the way round I got a few glimpse's at the old course peninsula and in a word I need to play it.
